Multitasking on the Samsung Galaxy Note 4
The Galaxy Note 4 in its fourth iteration, is the latest in a series of big screened devices created by Samsung. Back in 2011, when creating big devices, the maximum usage of available screen real estate was not part of core OS design. However, thanks to the flexibility of Android, Samsung created solutions that brought true multi tasking on a phone. Called Multi Window, Samsung allowed two apps to run at the same time, in small windows. On the Note 4, it gets better. How? Let’s find out.

Has the S Pen become more useful on the Samsung Galaxy Note 4?
Back in 2011, Samsung had launched the original Galaxy Note, a large screen device that brought the stylus back into vogue. Initially used as a substitute for the finger in old touchscreens, the stylus, also known as the S-Pen, became a value add for Samsung’s new experiment. Even though the positioning of the Note has slightly changed, the stylus has stuck to its place and evolved along with the device, now in its fourth iteration. Has it become more useful, this generation? Let’s find out.

Tune in to the Micromax YU Smartphone launch live stream
Micromax and Cyanogen are all set to launch the YU smartphone tomorrow, at 11:30 A.M in New Delhi. After an extensive marketing campaign on its social media channels, the second largest Indian smartphone manufacturer is finally going to launch its new device, the only one that can run the Cyanogen OS in this country. We’ve been hearing a lot about this device ever since the word first started to spread, and there are indicators that the price is going to be disruptive for the already disrupted Indian market. As far as promotions go, the YU seems to base its complete experience around the amount of customization that the user will be able to do, one of the strong selling points of Cyanogen.

LG G3 Beat Review
LG is one of the old horses in the smartphone market, but is a new one to enter the ‘minis’ trend. With the likes of Samsung and Sony pushing the compact battle to a whole new level, it was high time LG got into the game.
LG launched its compact variant of its flagship smartphone, the G3 Beat a couple of weeks ago. The device takes after the G3 in design, but the similarities are deep with the internals being completely different. Continue reading “LG G3 Beat Review”
Huawei Ascend Mate 7 Review – enter the challenger
The smartphone industry is on what seems to be a never ending trend where handsets are getting larger and larger and continually blurring the boundaries that separate smartphones from tablets. Samsung were arguably the first to offer a consumer-focused large screen device in the Galaxy Note and the success of this phablet alerted rival manufacturers to the possibilities of a large screen device.
In the case of Chinese manufacturer Huawei, their latest phablet is their third generation handset and the Ascend Mate 7 definitely packs a punch. Not only does it have the highest screen to body ratio of any smartphone but it also has a specs list that can rival most devices, including the latest from Samsung in the form of the Galaxy Note 4.
The Ascend Mate 7 is definitely Huawei’s best ever phablet device but does it offer enough to persuade you to choose it over a rival device such as the Note 4 or Apple’s phablet, the iPhone 6 Plus? Continue reading “Huawei Ascend Mate 7 Review – enter the challenger”
HTC Desire 820 Review: Pocket Cinema
HTC, as a company, was going the wrong way for a while. For example, in May 2013, the company released a Snapdragon 200-powered Desire 600 with a 4.5 inch qHD display that cost people 27k rupees. The company had vowed to fix these things and bring its products back in line with consumer expectations, after which the Desire 816 happened. It was a mid range phablet with an affordable price tag and solid specifications. The Desire 820 (Rs. 24,999) is its spiritual successor, carrying forward all the positives of the 816, trying to add more value and keep up with the times. Does it succeed? Lets find out.
Sony SmartWatch 3 Review
One of the biggest trends in technology at the moment is wearable devices such as smartwatches and whilst many manufacturers have begun launching their first devices this year, Sony’s already on the third generation of the Sony Smartwatch range. Whilst this year’s smartwatch shares many similarities with its predecessors (such as durability and overall design), it features a few major differences and the biggest of these is its powered by Google’s new Android Wear operating system.
Whilst previous devices were powered by Sony’s proprietary user interface, the adoption of Android Wear has meant Sony can stop focusing on the software and instead look to innovate in hardware and design. Has this move paid off or should Sony have continued using its proprietary OS? Continue reading “Sony SmartWatch 3 Review”

Apple iPhone 6 Review
Is this the same Apple we’ve known for all these years? Well, the company has evolved leaps and bounds after the Steve Jobs era. Apple under the guidance of Tim Cook is doing things that we never thought we will ever get to see from the Cupertino giant.
Starting from a plastic iPhone to all those cheeky ads mocking its competition, we’ve seen it all. Perhaps, the only thing that went missing was a big iPhone, but it’s here today – however, it took a long time coming. Apple always said that they do things their way and don’t care about what other manufacturers are doing, but the time has come where the company has left is arrogance behind and produced a device that most of you were asking for.
