Xiaomi has sold over 6 million Mi Bands Worldwide

In April, Xiaomi stated that they managed to sell over 4 million units of the Mi Band and now in just two months time, it has managed to sell an additional 2 million that brings the total to over 6 million Mi Band’s that have been sold worldwide.

Fitbit has introduced three new fitness products, the Fitbit Surge smartwatch with a large LCD Touch screen display, new Charge and Charge HR fitness bands. All these offer wireless syncing, automatic sleep tracking, silent alarm and of course, activity tracking. The Fitbit Surge and Charge HR devices offer continuous and automatic wrist-based PurePulse heart rate monitoring. The PurePulse uses safe LED lights to detect blood volume changes right on the wrist to deliver heart rate monitoring 24/7. Fitbit comes to Windows Phone 8.1

Users of Windows Phone devices have long been left out of the fitness bands and wearables group due to lack of official applications on the platform. Earlier this year, Microsoft had claimed that it was working on changing that. With the Windows Phone 8.1 update, the mobile operating system got much improved bluetooth support including much needed Bluetooth LE support which is most important for low power wearables.
