Nokia Growth Partners (NGP) has raised $350 million fund for investments in Internet of Things (IoT) companies. The fund is sponsored by Nokia and will serve to seek new opportunities to grow the ecosystem in IoT solutions. The latest round of funding brings NGP’s total assets under management to over USD 1 billion, including USD 500 million available for new investments.

Huawei HiLink SDK, Lite OS for Smart home platforms coming in Q2 2016
At the honor event in Shenzhen, China, Huawei announced that it is will release its HiLink SDK in Q2 2016. The HiLink protocol will unify your smart home IOT devices using a unified language. It works via Zigbee, WiFi and Bluetooth. Huawei Honor president George Zhao said that the company will also release Huawei Lite OS with very light kernel and ultra fast startup time of 700ms in Q2 2016.
