Nokia has been awarded a ten-year extension to its existing 5G network deal with Antina, a joint venture between M1 and StarHub mobile network operators in Singapore. Singtel introduces Singapore’s first 10Gbps residential fibre service
Singtel today announced that it will offer Singapore’s first 10Gbps fibre broadband service to residential customers starting this month. It was piloted for a selected group of customers last year and uses next-gen 10GPON or Gigabit Passive Optical Network. It also features four 1Gbps ports so that it multi-user environments such as home offices and large households. Samsung has launched the Galaxy S5 4G+ in Singapore. It is a variant of the Galaxy S5 broadband LTE-A that was launched in Korea in June. It is powered by a 2.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 805 processor and has LTE-A support up to 300 Mbps. Other specifications are similar to the global Galaxy S5 variants, including a 5.1-inch 1080p display, 2GB RAM, 16GB of storage with expandable memory up to 128GB with microSD and a 2800 mAh battery. Facebook for Android has been updated to version 1.9.10 that brings new messaging features including option to quickly see who is online to chat, manage favorite friends, see active friends and more new features. The previous v1.9.8 update brought easier event creation and new media upload flow. The Facebook Messenger app for Android has also been updated with similar features. Apple iPhone 5 Singapore Prices are Revealed , starts from S$948
Singapore is one of the few countries getting the iPhone 5 on launch day September 21 and Singapore is one of those markets where Apple directly sells unlocked iPhones on it’s online store to consumers. The 16GB iPhone 5 is expected to cost 948 SGD (Singapore Dollars). Apple will start taking Pre-orders on September 14.
