Vivaldi today released Vivaldi 1.0 browser, after more than one year in public development. It is developed by a founding team of browser pioneers, lead by Jon von Tetzchner, who co-founded and led Opera Software. The core of the browser uses Chromium, supports Chrome add-ons and the UI uses React and JavaScript, as well as Node.js. “The browser adds several features and powerful personalization options targeted at demanding users to increase their productivity and efficiency,” said the company. WhatsApp just rolled out full end-to-end encryption for all communication, so every call you make, and every message, photo, video, file, and voice message you send, is end-to-end encrypted by default, including group chats. “Many messaging apps only encrypt messages between you and them, but WhatsApp’s end-to-end encryption ensures only you and the person you’re communicating with can read what is sent, and nobody in between, not even WhatsApp,” said the company. Opera has updated its beta app for Android to version 36 that brings several new features, including a new tab switcher with a modern look and a better underlying structure to allow optimized resource management. Opera says it is still working on perfecting it, but it it asking beta testers for their feedback. The update also lets you make progressive web apps easier to find on the web. It will automatically allow compatible web apps like the Flipkart Lite to be added to the home screen.

Microsoft Hyperlapse for Android gets option to save to SD card, save in 1080p and more

Microsoft has updated its Hyperlapse app for Android that finally gets option to save the recorded videos to microSD card on compatible devices. It also gets option to save 1080p videos in compatible devices. Both these features can be enabled from the settings. If you can’t enable, then the feature is not available for your device.
