WiFire is a new Android app that lets you connect to free Wi-Fi hotspots nearby without requiring you to type in passwords or searching for a good network. It pops up notifications whenever there is a free Wi-Fi hotspot. You just need to give your mobile number once when setting up, after that it logs you in by filling out the details that you usually do when you connect to a free Wi-FI network and also fills the One-Time Passwords (OTPs) you receive, automatically. You can also add free hotspots you discover to earn rewards.

Bing Search for iPhone and Android updated with several new features

Microsoft has updated its Bing Search app for Android and iPhone. The new Android app now offers snapshots of information, available on-tap and in-context, while using other apps. This feature was already available for iPhone. Both the apps also get new features such as barcode scanner that lets you compare product prices from online catalogs of major retailers and GasBuddy feature to find cheapest gas in your area. WhatsApp has increased its group limit from 100 to 256. The limit was increased from 50 to 100 back in November 2014. This new feature is currently available only in the beta version of WhatsApp for Android v2.12.429 or later, but it is expected to roll out for other users and platforms soon. smartbro is a new Android app from startup Optinno Mobitech Pvt Ltd. that helps you save money on prepaid by offering you detailed bill for all your calls and data. It is based on operator popups and uses its own data analytics engine to figure out correct latest talktime balance and automatically shows it on the dialer, before making a call so that you can get an idea on how much balance is left. The company says that it is using proprietary patent pending technology.

This includes 13 Indian languages – Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Kashmiri, Malayalam, Marathi, Oriya, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu. In addition to the improved language support, Opera Mini for Android also gets a QR- code reader and generator and an improved download manager. Samsung seeds Android Marshmallow accidentally to yet another device – the Galaxy S5

In the latter half of 2015, Samsung seeded an update to Android 6.0 Marshmallow for both the Galaxy Note5 as well as the Galaxy Note 4. This was accidental and both the smartphones are yet to receive a mass update to the latest Android version. However, it seems that another lucky user has gotten a similar update on his Galaxy S5.

Microsoft Garage has launched Mimicker Alarm app for Android, which helps you get up and stay up by playing a simple game, called a Mimic. To dismiss your alarm, you must mimic the action given. “We might ask you to snap a selfie, speak a phrase, or even get out of bed! The Mimics require you to be alert, smart, and use yourself and surroundings,” said the company.
