LG has introduced G Pad III 8.0, it’s latest mid-range tablet in Korea, few days after launching it in the US and Canada. It has a 8-inch (1920 × 1200) Full HD display, is powered by a 1.5GHz Octa-Core processor and runs on Android 6.0.1 (Marshmallow). It has a 8-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. It has a standard USB Type-A port that will let you use standard  USB flash drives. Datawind tops Indian tablet market with 34.2% market share in Q1 2016: CMR

A total of 0.91 million tablets were sold in India, recording a 7% growth over the last quarter of CY 2015, according to CMR’s India Quarterly Tablet PC Market Review, 1Q CY 2016. The report said that 4G launches will increase sales of large screen smart connected devices, including tablets, for video content consumption, leading to market stabilization. Lava has launched IvoryS 4G, the company’s latest 4G tablet in the Ivory series with support for FDD Band 3, FDD Band 5 & TDD Band 40. It has a 7-inch (1280 x 800 pixels) display, is powered by a 1GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop). It has a 5-megapixel auto focus rear camera with LED flash and a 3.2-megapixel front-facing camera. It has voice calling capabilities and has dual SIM support. Indian tablet market saw a sluggish growth in Q1, 2016 with mere 1.3% growth, according to a latest report from IDC. A total of 0.86 million units were shipped this quarter.

Worldwide tablet market declined yet again in the first quarter of 2016 with 39.6 million units shipped, down 14.7% year over year, according to latest report from the International Data Corporation (IDC). This is the sixth straight quarter where tablets have reported a decrease year-over-year. In Q4, 2015 tablet shipment had declined by 10.1%.
