Lava launched E-Tab Connect, the company’s first tablet with 3G support and voice calling back in March. Now E-Tab Z7C+ (Connect+), successor of the Connect tablet has appeared on online retail sites Flipkart and Saholic. It comes with a 7.0-inch (800 × 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It has a 2-megapixel rear camera and a 0.3-megapixel (VGA)  front-facing camera. It has a SIM card slot that offers 3G connectivity and voice calling support. iBall  has launched the Slide 3G 9728,  a new tablet in the Slide Performance series. It has a 9.7-inch (1024 x 768 pixels) 10 point multi-touch display, powered by a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It comes with a 5-megapixel auto focus camera on the back and a 0.3-megapixel (VGA) front-facing camera. It comes with SIM card support that offers 3G data connectivity and voice calling. The company launched the Slide Q9703 with 9.7-inch (2048 x 1536 pixels) HD IPS multi-touch retina display and a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor back in May. Datawind to pre-install CricHQ cricket scoring app on UbiSlate tablets

With this partnership, Datawind would be pre-installing the CricHQ app on all their Ubislate tablets. This app would let the users get the latest cricket scores, watch training videos and receive live ball-by-ball updates. The UbiSlate tablets come pre-loaded with NCERT e-books. Huawei has announced the MediaPad 7 Vogue, the company’s latest tablet in the MediaPad series. It has first mentioned at the  official MWC press release back in February and leaked in March. It has a 7-inch (1024 x 600 pixels) IPS display, similar to the Huawei MediaPad 7 Lite that was launched in India last November. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core K3V2 HiSilicon processor with 16 Core graphics and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) with Huawei’s Emotion UI 1.5 on top. It has 3G connectivity through a SIM card slot and supports voice calls. It has a 3-megapixel rear camera, 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera and has sleek aluminum metal unibody design. Nexus 7 successor surfaces, might feature a Snapdragon 600 processor

A code-named ASUS K009, with the FCC ID code MSQK009 was certified in the U.S last week. The tablet has also surfaced in the Bluetooth SIG listing last week that shows the front part of the tablet in a tiny image. Rumors of the second-gen Nexus 7 surfaced back in April, and Reuters revealed that the tablet would feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor instead of NVIDIA Tegra chip. Amazon Kindle Fire HD 7-inch and Fire HD 8.9-inch tablets launched in India starting at Rs. 15999

Amazon has finally released the  Kindle Fire HD and Fire HD 8.9″ tablets in India. Both these tablets were announced last year. The Kindle Fire HD has a 7-inch (1280×720 pixels) display and is powered by a 1.2 GHz TI OMAP4460 Dual Core CPU. The Kindle Fire HD 8.9″ has a 8.9-inch (1920 x 1200 pixels) display with 254 ppi. Both these tablets have Dolby audio with dual stereo speakers for immersive, virtual surround sound and Dual-band WiFi with dual-antennas / MIMO for 40% faster throughput than other tablets. Who are the top five smartphone makers in the world? Samsung and Apple would be anyone’s guess. Evidently, because of their dominant presence in the market and ever rising sale figures. LG follows next in ranking. Who do you reckon follows in the 4th spot? Blackberry, Nokia or HTC? Well, its Huawei. The Chinese telecom company is the fourth largest smartphone maker in the world, by units !

Yet, why is it that you and I rarely see a Huawei phone in Indian stores, when shopping for the latest smartphone ? Why is it that the 4th biggest smartphone maker is not visible in one of world’s biggest smartphone market? Huawei hopes to change this brand image, soon. Starting this month, Huawei will begin introducing its star smartphones and tablets, in India. The Chinese phone maker has slotted a bunch of big launches in the next quarter, too.

First up is the Huawei Media Pad 10 Link that was launched in India recently. A 10.1 inch screen tablet priced at just Rupees 24,990/- . The Media Pad 10 runs on 1.2 GHz Quad Core Huawei Hi-Silicon Processor. Operating system is the Android 4.1.

It has a 10.1-inch HD (1280 x 800 pixels) display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Huawei Hi-Silicon Processor with 16 Core GPU and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It has a 3-megapixel rear camera and a 0.3-megapixel (VGA) front-facing camera. It has 3G support via SIM card slot,  Dolby Surround Sound and packs a 6600 mAh battery that promises 6 hours of continuous gaming or 8 hours of continuous video playback. Sony launched the Xperia Tablet Z, the company’s latest flagship tablet in India recently. Here we have the benchmarks of the device. The Xperia Tablet Z was originally announced in Japan earlier this year, and it was announced for global markets at the MWC 2013. It packs a a 10.1-inch HD (1920 x 1200 pixels) WUXGA Display with Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2, Shatter proof sheet on scratch-resistant glass, powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 ProAPQ8064 processor with Adreno 320 GPU and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). Toshibha unveils Excite Pure Android 4.2 tablet for 299$ alongside Pro and Write with 10 inch 2560×1600 displays and Tegra 4

Toshibha just unveiled its refreshed range of Excite tablets at Computex, Taiwan, consisting of three models – Excite Pure, Excite Pro and Excite Write. All the three 10.1 inch Android tablets are aimed at different price ranges and target consumers. These tablets are priced between 299$ and 599$ and Toshibha hopes to ship them out by June 25th, available directly from their website. Lets see the models in detail then.
