WikiLeaks publishes thousands of secret CIA documents, hacking tools revealed

[Update] – Apple stated that a large number of the iOS exploits in the Wikileaks stash have already been patched and it is working to address any new vulnerabilities.

WikiLeaks has obtained what it says is a top-secret documents from the CIA detailing the tools it uses to break into phones, communication apps and other electronic devices. Julian Assange’s anti-secrecy group has published thousands of of CIA documents, codenamed Vault 7, that purports to reveal the agency’s “entire hacking capacity”.

T-Mobile today announced that it has started deploying LTE-U technology in its LTE network and will launch in Spring 2017, following today’s FCC certification of equipment from strategic partners Ericsson and Nokia. This comes after more than three years of extensive research, development and testing to ensure LTE-U works well alongside Wi-Fi technologies. U.S operator Verizon today announced “Verizon Unlimited” that offers unlimited data, calling and texting (to Mexico and Canada) and up to 500 MB/day of 4G LTE roaming (in Mexico and Canada) at $80 per month for individual line or $45 per line for four lines with unlimited data, talk and text. Fitbit withdraws patent case against Jawbone

Fitbit has dropped a year old patent complaint against Jawbone. The fitness tracker and smartwatch maker had filed a complaint it the U.S. International Trade Commission, in which it had accused Jawbone of violating its patents.
